"The Dentate gyrus HICAP cells (HIlar Commissural-Associational pathway related cells) are multipolar or triangular cells in the polymorphic layer with thin, aspiny dendrites that extend both within the hilus and within the molecular layer. the axons of these HICAP cells extend through the granule cell layer and branch profusely in the inner third of the molecular layer."
