High content screening (HCS) is an automated screening method using live cells to understand various aspects of their biology. HCS employs imaging (bright-field or fluorescence) and analyses in a high throughput format. HCS can be applied to monitor complex cellular aspects, namely, signaling, morphology, phenotype, proliferation, motility, intracellular trafficking, toxicology, RNAi knockdown, and receptor activation.
